Contract Signed

Bran and I met with our builder last night to sign on our new home. Bran was thoroughly bored and probably won’t be excited about this whole process until he gets the chance to watch them digging the foundation. I even made a point to ask after we were done signing all the papers if the builder had a problem with Brandon driving the bulldozer. He just laughed and I know they’d never allow that for insurance reasons but a little piece of me wishes Bran could get the chance because he would glow about that forever.

Unfortunately the sales office in our new neighborhood is not the same model as our home so I didn’t bother taking pictures of it but I did pull a bunch of pictures off the builder’s website to start giving you an idea of what we’re going for.

Hard to get a real feel for what the outside looks like but this will have to do for now.

Our actual floorplan will be a mirror image of this with the garage on the left rather than the right just because of the topography of the lot we chose.

Again, imagine this all flipped.

We'll start with my favorite part, the kitchen. Unfortunately I couldn't find any pictures of the amazing pantry/extra bedroom haha.

Breakfast room right next to the kitchen. On the wall you can't see is the door to the covered deck.

Living room with a see through fireplace that goes out to the deck.

View of the fireplace from the covered deck.

We opted to go with screening in the deck since the house will have a 12x18 concrete patio directly below it that will be open.

An alternate view of the screened deck. This pic is from a model with a slab rather than a deck.

One view of the master bedroom. You can barely see the recessed ceiling with track lighting.

Different view of the master bedroom with a door to the covered deck.

Master bath with jetted tub and dual vanities.

Walk-in shower with dual shower heads, one regular and one rain-maker. Linen closet to the left of the shower and toilet to the right.

Basement bar.

Well there you have it. Your preliminary tour.

Our tentative close date is November 12th. They break ground in approximately 3-4 weeks and in approximately 90 days from now there will be drywall up on the walls. Once the drywall is up, weather and ground conditions are no longer a real factor so we will have a real, hard and fast close date.

This is so beautiful! Do you have the floor plan with room sizes or the dimensions for the rooms? It looks like the perfect home.
