Bathing Beauty

Well I’ve been really preoccupied getting my website up and running and the past few weeks have just gotten away from me. It isn’t for lack of things to write about or photos to display that has kept me from blogging. I’ve just been SO busy! Work has been incredibly hectic and every weekend has been packed with activities and blah blah blah I know what you’re thinking. “When do I get more pics of that kiddo!”

This weekend was nice and lazy. We hung around the house, slept in, stayed in our pajamas until after noon and loved every minute of it. On Saturday Aubs and I did get out of the house to go to the Irish Festival that is held every year at Crown Center. It was fun. We took my mom, Brandon’s cousin Sarah and one of her friends. They had the usual vendors, good food, big crowds and loud music. The only disappointing part for me was the absence of the corned beef sandwich vendor that has been a staple every year. I look forward to that more than anything else at the show.

Aubrey seemed to enjoy the experience. It wasn’t her first Irish Fest but last year she was only 6 months old and didn’t quite comprehend what was going on. This year she acted like she was in a parade. She waved to everyone walking by while yelling “HI!” and when I let her out of her stroller she would take off running thinking that was great fun. I can’t say I was a fan of that. I was poised with my hand over my own personal panic button. Losing her to the swarming crowds would have been all too easy and just the thought of that makes my stomach seize. We made it through the evening without incident and she fell fast asleep on the ride home.

Because she missed her evening bath I gave her one on Sunday morning after breakfast. She loved prancing around the house in her towel after her bath. Sometimes I look at her and I am amazed at how old she looks. It feels like I can actually see her growing sometimes.

I can hardly believe it when you post pictures how big she is getting. Sure wish I lived closer!
