Aubrey loves to be outside. She is constantly asking to go out and everytime she does I tell her she needs to put shoes on first. She usually runs straight to her room and starts excitedly pointing up at her dresser where I keep her shoes. She’ll then sit patiently while I tie them and then she runs back to the back door and dances around waiting for me to open the door.
Last week I was cleaning the kitchen and I thought Aubrey was bringing me my flip flops. She set them down in front of me and held up her hand while repeating the expectant sound she uses constantly, “Uh uh uh.” I bent down and she put her hand on my shoulder for balance as she stepped into my flip flops. She bent over to rearrange her toes around the thong and as soon as she was satisfied that they were on she marched (albeit clumsily) over to the door and asked to go outside. I let her go out onto the deck and quickly ran past her to make sure the gate at the top of the stairs was latched. This sent her into a tiny tantrum because her ultimate goal was to go down to play in the yard.
Luckily her tantrums rarely ever last longer than what you see here before she calms down and/or gets distracted by something else.

Does she hire out? I need some sweepin done.
