All weekend Aubrey was exploring whether or not she could fit into different sizes of objects and containers. It all began when she received a belated birthday present from a friend of the family. She and I unwrapped the gift while Bran was out getting us some Chinese takeout. The toy was cute. Your usual singing, talking, noise making toddler toy. However it was the box she was more interested in. As I was removing remaining twist ties and packaging from the toy I looked up to see Aubs intently trying to fit her entire body into the small box. Unfortunately all I had on me was my phone so you’ll have to excuse the poor photo quality.

Not satisfied with this position she attempted several more…
Of course I excitedly showed these to Brandon when he got home with dinner. We all sat down at the table and I fed Aubrey and myself at the same time. She raised her arms to let me know she was done eating so I took her out of her highchair to play on the floor while I finished eating. She was playing with the Fisher-Price Learning Kitchen she got for her birthday. Next thing I know she has crawled inside of something else.

Yes, she is perched inside of the dog food bowl. I’m still not sure how she got both feet inside it without tipping it over but there she is. Phoebe is at the door behind her probably wondering how she is supposed to eat that giant thing in her bowl. Aubrey was pushing the toast down over and over making it sing while waggling her butt to the beat.
Last night we hung out at Momo’s house and Aubrey found a few more things she could climb into, including…

…flipped upside down.
And the basket that is meant to hold the magnets for this toy…

Thought I would put up a picture of Aubs on the way to day care this morning having breakfast in her big girl carseat. She loves to make noises so I look back at her and then she laughs at the fact that she got my attention.

I was so excited to finally be able to see her face when I looked into the back seat that I jumped the gun. She still fits into her infant carseat just fine and it holds babies up to 26lbs. I assumed that she was close enough to that weight. The forward facing carseats all recommend the child be at least 20lbs. She had her one year check up on Thursday and it turns out she is 19lbs 4oz. Oops. Oh well, the harnesses fit her nicely and she seems to love being able to hold ‘conversations’ with Mom and Dad.
